When working with a new student who is also a beginning writer, I had her use the classroom flannel boards to create a story. I then photographed her pictures, put them into Write About This Quick Write and typed her story for her. This has allowed for her story to be recorded and shared with others. I printed her picture and story so she was able to take home something on her first day of school in NZ.
