Remove User on Chromebooks

To remove a user from a Chromebook:
When you turn on the Chromebook you will see the login boxes for anyone who has added themselves to that specific Chromebook.  To clean these up and remove them from the Chromebook, simply click on the small arrow on the login box and select 'Remove this person'.  That's it!

This does not remove an account from Google.  Students will still have access to their accounts during the summer, after school, etc from their home computers.

For students leaving CBS, they will be given access to Google Take-out to save anything on their drive to a new account outside of CBS.

Adding music to your Google Drive

To save music in your google drive, do the following:

Insert CD into the disc drive on your computer.  Accept the prompt to copy the CD to your iTunes.  This will take awhile to load, and it whirs away while it's doing so.  Once you have copied the music to your computer's iTunes, click on the music icon in the top left corner.  This will take you to your music library.  If you have a lot of music you can sort it by Name, Time, Artist, Album, Genre.

Open your Drive and create a folder for your music.  Open this folder and then drag the screen to half size so you can see your iTunes screen beside it.

Find the music you want and click on the song.  If you want to choose multiple songs, hold the command key and choose as many songs as you like, or the shift key to select a group of songs that are listed in order.  Drag these songs and drop them into your google drive.  That's it!  Now you can access your songs from any computer, by simply clicking on the song.

Note:  Sometimes when you copy a CD onto your computer it doesn't list the names of the songs, but changes it to Track 1, Track 2, etc.  After putting these into your drive, you can rename them by right clicking (or two finger clicking) on the title and renaming it.

Year 4 Chromebooks

In Term Three two of our Year Four classes were fortunate enough to receive Chromebooks. During one morning block we combined both classes and got all 60 students logged in to their own Google accounts on their Chromebooks. It was like Christmas!! Very excited and very happy children!

After our introductory lesson they spent the next block getting right to work writing stories  and also researching space.
